Alternatives
Drift alternatives before the January 2027 shutdown
Drift retires on 31 January 2027. These tools can take over website sales chat, compared on cost and on how they handle bookings and CRM sync.
Salesloft stopped selling Drift and will retire it on 31 January 2027. Customer data is deleted on 1 May 2027. Salesloft names 1Mind as its recommended successor. Sources: Salesloft Drift sunset FAQ, spara.com.
Drift was mostly used for B2B sales chat: qualifying website visitors and booking meetings with sales reps. So the useful question is which tools do that job now, and what they cost. 1Mind isn't priced here because we haven't checked its pricing yet.
What to sort out before you switch
- Export the conversation history and contact data you want to keep, well before 1 May 2027. Salesloft's FAQ says what the export covers.
- List your Drift playbooks and routing rules, so you can rebuild the ones that still book meetings.
- Check how the replacement books meetings: a native calendar, Calendly, or your CRM's scheduler.
- Confirm the CRM sync you rely on (HubSpot or Salesforce) works the same way in the new tool.
- Remove the Drift script from your site once the replacement is live.

Estimates are our arithmetic on published list prices in each tool's own currency, for one human seat and 50 conversations a month handled by AI. Where a tool bills per resolution or outcome we count every AI conversation as billable, so treat those figures as a ceiling. Setup fees and add-ons are not in the estimate and are listed beside it. Featured listings, if any, sit above the numbered rows, are labelled and never take a rank number. Full working: methodology.
The tools in brief
Botpress
Agencies and technical teams building their own agents. A usable free plan and predictable per-conversation billing.
Watch out for: harder to learn than the small-business tools.
Tidio (Lyro)
Small businesses and Shopify stores. The cheapest paid route to a monthly AI quota in this comparison, and Lyro can be bought without a paid helpdesk plan.
Watch out for: three separate meters (human conversations, Lyro conversations, Flows visitors) to keep track of.
ChatBot.com (Text)
Small sales teams and online shops that want live chat and a bot from one vendor. Mature live chat and chatbot products from the same company.
Watch out for: only 10 AI resolutions on the entry plan, then $49.50 for each 50.
Intercom Fin
Funded SaaS and mid-sized support teams that want the most capable AI agent and can model per-outcome costs. Intercom publishes a 76% average resolution rate across 12,000+ customers (vendor figure, not independently tested).
Watch out for: two meters, seats and outcomes, so the monthly bill moves with volume.
HubSpot Breeze Customer Agent
Businesses that already run sales or service in HubSpot. The lowest published price per AI resolution we found ($0.50).
Watch out for: only good value if you are already paying for HubSpot.
Landbot
Lead capture and appointment booking flows. A visual builder with Calendly and HubSpot connections.
Watch out for: the AI chat allowance runs out well before the chat allowance.
Crisp
UK and EU businesses that want a predictable flat fee and EU data hosting. A fixed monthly price whatever your conversation volume.
Watch out for: crisp doesn't publish how far the AI credit stretches.
Which kind of replacement
Already on HubSpot
HubSpot Breeze keeps chat, contacts and meetings in one CRM. Its customer agent comes with the Professional plan, which HubSpot lists at $90 a seat a month on annual billing (checked 3 November 2026).
Lead capture and booking
Landbot builds qualification flows that end in a Calendly booking and push the lead to HubSpot, priced in euros from EUR 32 a month on annual billing.
Sales and support in one inbox
Intercom Fin and Crisp cover both. Intercom bills per seat and per outcome; Crisp is a flat fee per workspace.
Build your own
Botpress suits a technical team rebuilding Drift-style logic, with a free plan to prototype on.
