The two parts of the bill
- Seats
- Essential $29, Advanced $85, Expert $132 per seat a month, billed annually. Intercom currently shows $19 on Essential for new customers (35% off). One full seat is the minimum.
- Fin outcomes
- $0.99 each, charged at most once per conversation.
- Fin without Intercom seats
- $0.99 per outcome on top of another helpdesk such as Salesforce, with a monthly minimum. Intercom's FAQ gives 50 outcomes as an example minimum, and says there are no setup, integration or platform fees.
What counts as an outcome
Intercom charges an outcome when the customer confirms their issue is resolved, when they don't ask for more help after Fin replies, or when Fin completes a workflow (a Procedure), which includes handing off to a person. That last point matters: a handoff can still be billed.

How $0.99 compares
Per AI answer, Fin sits between HubSpot ($0.50 per text resolution) and Zendesk ($2.00 pay as you go). The units aren't identical; see the AI agents comparison. For a small site, Tidio is the common cheaper alternative.
