How this site makes money

Right now, it doesn't. Here is what will change, and how you will be able to tell.

Affiliate links

There are no affiliate links on this site yet. Every link to a vendor goes to its own pricing page, with no tracking code.

We may join affiliate programmes later. If we do, each affiliate link will carry the words 'Affiliate link' right beside it, will be marked as sponsored in the page code so search engines can tell, and this page will list each programme we belong to. An affiliate link pays us a commission if you buy, at no extra cost to you.

Paid listings

We don't sell any listings yet. If we start, a paid listing will be labelled 'Featured (paid)', shown above the numbered rows in a table, and never given a rank number. Payment never changes the prices, allowances or other facts we publish, and never buys a better estimate, a rank number or a guide recommendation.

What decides the order

Ranked tables are ordered by our estimated monthly cost, worked out the same way for every tool from its published prices (see the methodology). Tools whose prices don't allow an estimate are listed after the ranked rows, alphabetically, with the reason.

Vendors in this guide

Some vendors here run affiliate programmes and some don't. That has no bearing on whether we include a tool: Intercom, Ada and Sierra have no public programme and are covered the same way as everyone else.

Who's behind this

I'm Kris Millar, and I run Chatbot Prices independently from the UK. I started it because chatbot prices were hard to compare: every tool counts something different (seats, conversations, resolutions, outcomes, sessions or credits), and the AI part is often priced separately from the plan. If something here is wrong or out of date, email [email protected] and I'll fix it.
